About Music Makerz

Music Makerz has been the music studio of choice for many families in Waterloo Region, receiving Record Readers Choice Awards 3 years in a row. Located in Kitchener, Music Makerz is dedicated to enhancing the lives of students musically, spiritually and developmentally.

Our mission statement is simple: "Music is for everyone."

Whether you are a beginner or a pro, we are ready to help you towards your musical goals. Music Makerz offers lessons in many instrumental disciplines, group and family music classes, and buddy classes.

Our instructors are university graduates, with experience in teaching every age and every level. They have varied experience in classical and contemporary instrumental and voice, musical theatre, public school and Montessori education, band and ensemble performance, music therapy, and special education.

Sherri Stuebing

Sherri StuebingSherri has a B.A in English and Music Education, teaches  piano, voice, recorder and ukulele, and was assistant choral director for the Kitchener-Waterloo Sweet Adeline Ladies Barbershop Chorus from 2003 – 2008. Sherri is current director of Music Makerz, and the Casa and Elementary Music Educator at K-W Montessori and EYES Childcare. She teaches private and group classes, and has guest taught in educational facilities and public schools in Kitchener. She is RCM trained, and has a certification in Contemporary Vocal Teaching. She has been involved with music all of her life, and has loved the opportunity to pass her passion for music onto her own children and the children that she teaches.

Caroline Schmidt

Caroline SchmidtCaroline Schmidt, mezzo-soprano, is an active performer and teacher local to KW. An avid choral singer, she is currently a member of the DaCapo Chamber Choir, and The Edison Singers, and has regularly shared her musical skills with many local churches and community ensembles. Caroline also enjoys performing as a recitalist, and was recently featured in the Noon Hour Concert Series at UW. Her teaching includes private music lessons, music classes to young children and families, and working as the Inter Mennonite Children’s Choir Training Choir Director. She is currently studying voice with Dr. Elizabeth Lepock.
